2026 F1 Singapore GP: Schedule, Timings, Where to Watch and more

The 2026 Singapore GP is on the horizon as drivers take to the island in Southeast Asia for the night race. The teams and drivers will not get a break after the eventful Bahrain GP in Malaysia last weekend. The race weekend will take place from 9-11 October, with the main race on Sunday.

The 2026 Singapore GP will take place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. It will be the first night race of this season following the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian GP and Bahrain moving to Sepang International Circuit. The 2008 Singapore GP was the first ever night race in F1. Since then, many night races have followed, including Qatar and Las Vegas.

The Marina Bay Street Circuit brings a host of technical challenges for the teams and drivers, with the barriers up close. However, arguably the biggest challenge for the drivers is competing with the heat and humidity during the race, as they tend to lose 4kg from perspiration.

The newer generation of cars, which are smaller in size, are expected to improve the racing at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, with the previous changes of adding the straight between Turn 15 and 16 also helping the cause.

George Russell won last year’s race after starting on pole position, with Max Verstappen and Lando Norris competing for the podium. Following the heartbreaking DNF at last weekend’s Bahrain GP, Russell would be keen on making a comeback with a strong result in Singapore.

Ferrari and McLaren will be in the hunt to stop the Mercedes and Red Bull domination from the last few weekends. Aston Martin is also expected to go well around the Marina Bay Street Circuit given that it isn’t as power sensitive.

Max Verstappen will start the race on pole position

The 2026 Singapore GP will be a sprint weekend, meaning just one practice session, followed by sprint qualifying, sprint race, qualifying and main race. Let’s have a look at the schedule and timing for the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix.
