The 2026 F1 Bahrain GP is set to take place at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The iconic circuit returns to the calendar for the first time since 2017. Let’s have a detailed look at the Schedule for the 2026 Bahrain GP and where one can watch the race.
The 2026 Bahrain and the Saudi Arabian GP were postponed following the situation in the Middle East. With the situation still unresolved, the Bahrain GP is set to take place at the Sepang International Circuit from 2-4 October.
The last race at the Sepang International Circuit took place in 2017 as the Malaysian GP, where Lewis Hamilton took the pole position and Max Verstappen won the race. Last year’s Bahrain GP winner was Oscar Piastri during his strong early season run.
Despite being held at the Sepang International Circuit, which previously saw primary sponsorship from Petronas, since the race is being held under the Bahrain GP name, all the sponsors have been carried over. The podium has also been recreated to be the same as the Bahrain International Circuit. The tradition of having rose water instead of champagne has also been carried forward from the Bahrain International Circuit.
The more experienced drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Max Verstappen and Nico Hulkenberg will have an advantage given that they’ve raced at the Sepang International Circuit before.
