Lorenzo Leclerc is the eldest sibling of F1 driver Charles Leclerc. His full name is Lorenzo Tolotta-Leclerc, with the Tolotta part of his name coming from his father. Lorenzo and Charles have the same mother, Pascale, however, the former is a child from her first marriage. Pascale and Lorenzo’s father got divorced when he was only four years old. A few years later, Pascale married Herve Leclerc and they had two children together. The Ferrari pilot, and the youngest Leclerc, Arthur.
Lorenzo Leclerc, unlike his younger siblings, isn’t a racecar driver. Instead, he works behind-the-scenes to support his brothers. Lorenzo has also made his own mark in the world of business. He started by joining Apex, a racing driver management company, where he has grown to take the position as one of their directors. Lorenzo still works with Apex, and in 2022, he co-founded All Time. All Time is a organization that is dedicated to supporting elite athletes in their career and beyond which he started with his F1 driver brother. The eldest Leclerc is also the managing director of Square Capital. Leading the company’s office in Monaco, he offers wealth management services to individuals with an extremely high net worth. He is also a board member of ADG, a global strategic technology firm.
In 2020, Lorenzo opened up about how his family came to be, sharing how Herve Leclerc was the main factor being the family getting into the world of racing. Herve was an F3 driver himself, and his passion became the family’s passion.
“My parents divorced when I was four years old. My mother then married Hervé Leclerc and my two brothers were born very close together: Charles, when I was 9, and Arthur 3 years later. Our family’s history with motorsport began with Hervé, a great enthusiast, who drove F3 between 1986 and 1989.” [via Auto Hebdo]

Charles Leclerc’s half-brother shares why he didn’t get into racing
Unlike Charles and Arthur Leclerc, Lorenzo didn’t get into racing. In an interview from 2021, the eldest sibling opened up on the reasons why. Despite having participated in karting competitions growing up, the sport was too expensive for him to get into. Given that the Leclerc family wasn’t particularly wealthy, it was difficult for them to fund Lorenzo’s career. This had Totolla-Leclerc taking on a role of big brother, and managing his siblings’ careers.
“I did a few competitions. But I quickly realized that I would not have a career as a driver, because there is a fairly significant budget problem. This sport has always been very expensive & it is quite difficult to manage to make a living from it. I take on the role of the big brother and to a certain extent of manager, even if I don’t like the word. I accompany Arthur in his passion and his career. On the one hand because he is my little brother but also because it always fascinated me.” [via Scuderia Fans]
Meanwhile, Arthur Leclerc, the third brother in the family, has paid his own dues in the world of single-seater racing. For the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the young Leclerc drove for Prema Racing in Formula 3. In F3, he scored three wins and five podiums, while finishing P6 in the drivers’ standings in his second year. In 2023, he moved up to F2, driving for the DAMS team and scoring a single podium.
At last year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Arthur also made his F1 debut. He drove alongside Charles Leclerc in the FP1 session, piloting the Ferrari car of Carlos Sainz. This moment marked the first time in the sport that a pair of brothers participated in F1 as teammates.
