The F1 movie premiere was in full swing in New York on Monday (June 17). Before it though, the lineup on the red carpet was star-studded. F1 stars mixed it up amongst movie stars like Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. But who had the best look on the red carpet? Here are the top 5.
Majority of the F1 grid headed straight from the Notre Dame Island in Montreal, to New York City to attend the much-awaited F1 movie premiere.
5 best looks from the red carpet at the F1 movie premiere
The stars weren’t just on the screen at the F1 movie premiere, they lit up the red carpet too.
Lewis Hamilton – F1 royalty
Unlike many other F1 drivers, this was not Hamilton’s first rodeo. The always-stylish Briton turned heads in an unconventional pale pink mandarin-collar jacket, paired with contrasting black trousers. But the statement piece was the diamond brooch, seemingly resembling a goat’s head. The F1 movie’s executive producer also topped the look off with black tinted sunglasses.
George Russell
George Russell was many people’s pick for the look of the day. Refined and youthful from the Canadian GP winner. The Briton stepped out in a charcoal double-breasted suit paired with a light pink shirt. He kept it subtle with a patterned pocket square that echoed the shirt’s blush tone. No tie, but a softly open collar, giving relaxed yet sleek vibes.
Charles Leclerc
The Ferrari driver wore a well-fitted double-breasted cream suit, paired with a beige tie and white shirt. While still on the baggy side, it was a clean, minimal look that leaned more towards classic tailoring without being too plain. The neutral tones gave it a calm, understated feel. Not the flashiest outfit of the night, but a solid choice.
Esteban Ocon
Another man leaning more towards the classics. Ocon arrived at the red carpet in a tradition sleek black tuxedo, white shirt, and a bow tie. The look followed a traditional red carpet formula, with a well-tailored fit and polished dress shoes rounding it off. It was a straightforward, formal appearance that delivered exactly what the occasion called for.
Isack Hadjar
The Frenchman isn’t just proving to be surprisingly stylish on-track, but off it as well. Hadjar wore a sand-colored suit over a white HUGO T-shirt, blending formal and casual elements. The 20-year-old was truly embracing his Gen-Z spirit. The relaxed styling offered a modern alternative to traditional red carpet attire, while still keeping things clean and cohesive.
Leclerc and Ocon exemplified timeless elegance. Hadjar and Russell leaned more into modern ease with nuanced tailoring. And then there’s Hamilton.
It is safe to say that F1 drivers clean up well. They are not simply race car drivers anymore. They are full-blown celebrities. The majority of them take their looks seriously, as was on display in New York on Monday night.
