Before Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff were the power couple of F1, the Mercedes team boss was married to someone else. A marriage that gave him his first two kids, Benedict and Rosa Wolff. The Austrian and his first wife were married for a decade before their divorce. The former couple had a son, Benedict in 2002, and a daughter Rosa in 2004. Little information is available regarding Wolff’s first family. His two children and former wife mostly stay out of the limelight despite being related to a prominent F1 figure.
Based on her LinkedIn, Rosa Wolff is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. In 2023, Rosa Wolff got an opportunity to interview her father for the German publication, Acker Magazine. She asked the Mercedes CEO about a variety of topics like the environment, gender diversity in F1, and more.
The duo also discussed about Jack Wolff – Toto’s son with wife Susie Wolff. Jack is the only child of the Austrian who has taken an interest in motorsports by dabbling in karting. Rosa asked Toto about his feelings of one of his kids finally stepping into the motorsports world. The 50-year-old responded that he’s worried as a parent due to the dangers associated with it.
Toto Wolff said:
“It pleases me, and it worries me. The worry is much greater because karting and motorsports are dangerous. I have seen horrific accidents, I can very much understand this horror as a parent,” [via Acker Magazine]
Like his sister, Benedict Wolff has also mostly stayed out of the spotlight, but recently he was mentioned in the media when his dad skipped out on the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend to attend his graduation ceremony taking place in the United States.
Toto Wolff shares how he manages to be the father of Benedict, Jack, and Rosa Wolff
In an interview from 2017, Toto Wolff shared how his two families have blended together and grown from the divorce that happened between him and Stephanie. The Mercedes team boss shared how Benedict, Jack, and Rosa are all very important to him and credits both Stephanie and Susie for coming together and create a dynamic that sees the whole family getting together for Christmas and the holidays.
“I am in the very lucky situation that we are a true ‘patchwork family’. Susie is the centre of pulling that all together – and my former wife Stephanie.
He further added,
“Both put the wellbeing of the kids above their own. I’ve been together with Susie now for eight years and my kids have always been a very important part of that relationship. And Stephanie, the mum of my kids, handled it in the same way. Now we spend Christmas and holidays together. And as tough as a divorce is, we all grew.” [via F1]
Professionally, this season, Wolff’s team currently sits in P2 of the constructors’ standings, with a points total of 147. The team endured a brutal Monaco GP with both George Russell and Kimi Antonelli finishing outside points.
