Victoria Jane Verstappen is the sister of four-time World Champion Max Verstappen. Victoria was born on October 22nd, 1999 to Jos Verstappen and Sophie Kumpen. While her parents and her brother have all been or still are a part of the world of motorsport, the 26-year-old has chosen to not go down that path. While she did spend time karting in her youth, Victoria now spends her time as a content creator. She is also the mother of three children, and is now engaged to her long-term partner Tom Heuts.
Apart from being a social media influencer, Victoria also has her own fashion brand. She started Unleash the Lion in 2020. The brand also falls under Max Verstappen’s enterprise of Verstappen.com. However, there hasn’t been an update to the brand’s social media account since last year. Possibly, since she became a mother, the apparel line has taken a back seat. Victoria had her first child, Luka in 2020. The following year, her second son Lio was born. Earlier this week, the family celebrated the birthday of Hailey, who turned one-year-old this June. Last month, she also shared that she was engaged to her partner Tom, after he proposed to her in Paris.
“The easiest “yes” ever 💍🥰,” Victoria wrote on her Instagram.

Max Verstappen considers Victoria to have had the same level of talent as he did
Although she’s not a part of the world of racing now, Victoria did have similiar roots to her brother. Her parents are both former drivers. Jos Verstappen has famously competed in F1 from 1994 to 2003, as well as participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Rally Championship. Her mother, Sophie Kumpen raced in the world championships of Formula A, K, Super A classes. She also was close to scoring a Formula 1 seat.
Victoria also had competed in karting as well. She participated at the Genk International Karting Circuit and won a 100-mile race in her youth. But, she never had her heart in it like her brother did. According to the Red Bull Racing driver, his sister not only had potential, she was also equivalent to him in terms of talent. However, Victoria didn’t want to fully commit to the world of racing, much to the disappointment of her father.
“I think she had a lot of potential,”
“I think my sister probably had the same amount of talent as I had when I was little, but she just didn’t want it enough. She liked it but not enough to, like, fight for it, be fit, be ready. That’s fine, as long as you realise that.”
Max Verstappen also spoke of times when Jos would prepare the kart for Victoria just like he would for his son. But Victoria would only do a few laps before deciding that it wasn’t for her.
“There were a few instances where my dad would spend two days preparing everything like he would do with me, making sure everything was perfect for her to drive. Then she would drive for like 20 laps, and then she’s like ‘that’s it for me for today’. And then my dad would get quite annoyed.” [via RaceFans]
While Victoria chose to leave the world of racing behind, she still comes out to race weekends to support Max Verstappen. On her instagram page, she shared an image from her visit to last season’s Qatar Grand Prix, where she saw her brother win.
