The F1 Movie is currently in theatres after a grand global release. Fans anticipated the film ever since it was first announced in early 2023. Featuring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, F1 The Movie follows a fictional Formula 1 team, APX GP, as they try to clinch the championship with Sonny Hayes (played by Pitt) and Joshua Pearce (played by Idris). It also features Academy Award-winning actors Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon.

The crew shot the film during actual Grand Prix weekends throughout the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Pitt and Idris made multiple appearances during the drivers’ parade and podium celebrations. What fired up the expectations was the director, Joseph Kosinski. He has gained popularity for delivering excellent action films, including Top Gun: Maverick (2022).

There are many promotional items available for the film. But one that caught the eye of almost all F1 fans was the helmet popcorn bucket. People watching the movie can purchase a replica of the helmets worn by Pitt and Idris in the film. These helmets cost around $27.99 without taxes. Additionally, they are filled with popcorn to the brim. However, regional pricing has been observed globally.

Special features of the F1 movie helmet

Although it is just a popcorn container at the end of the day, there are quite a few notable features of the F1 helmet popcorn bucket. As mentioned, it is a replica of the helmets that both the actors used in the film. However, its size is slightly larger than the actual Formula 1 ‘half-size’ replica helmets. They sit somewhere between an actual helmet and a half-size helmet.

They are manufactured by Zinc, a brand popular for producing promotional merchandise. The detailing on the helmets is very intricate. Although the visors on them don’t open, they still have the little latch that drivers in real life use. Moreover, the popcorn helmet features the little cuts and curves which are present on a real helmet as well.

Of course, viewers can take the helmets with them. It’s quite an iconic souvenir considering the price. Moreover, it serves the futuristic purpose of storing popcorn when watching a film at home. Fans’ reception of the helmet was largely positive on social media.

Meanwhile, the F1: The Movie is also receiving positive reviews from critics. Some people argued that the film was a little inaccurate as compared to real-life racing. However, most movie watchers praised the production and the action sequences. Overall, it is quite an entertaining watch.
