Ferrari is the most iconic team in F1 history. Most drivers in the sport dream of racing for the most successful F1 team in history. Since making their F1 debut in 1950, Ferrari has secured 16 constructors’ titles and 15 drivers’ titles. Over 100 drivers have driven for them in the last 75 years. Here is a list of the five youngest ever from the list.

#5 Chris Amon – 23 years, 224 days old
Chris Amon made his debut for Ferrari at the 1967 South African GP, and became the second youngest driver for the Italian team at the time. He raced 27 times for Ferrari during a three-year stint, and claimed six podium finishes during this period.
#4 Jacky Ickx – 23 years old
Jacky Ickx joined Chris Amon at Ferrari in 1968. The pair became the youngest ever driver pairing for the legendary Italian team. The Belgian made his Ferrari debut on his 23rd birthday at the 1968 South African GP. Moreover, during his time with the team, he won six races and finished runner-up in 1970.
#3 Charles Leclerc – 21 years, 152 days old
Charles Leclerc became Ferrari’s golden boy when he joined the team in 2019, at the age of 21. The Monegasque has now been at the team for seven seasons, and his existing contract will keep him at Ferrari till 2029. Leclerc has claimed eight race wins at the Scarlet Red team.
#2 Ricardo Rodriguez – 19 years, 208 days old
Ricardo Rodriquez made his Ferrari debut in 1961, at the age of just 19. Additionally, the Mexican was the youngest ever driver to drive in F1 until the record was broken in 1980. Rodriquez was considered to be a future world champion. However, he sadly lost his life during an unofficial practice session in 1962, at the age of just 20.
Rodriquez’s record as the youngest F1 driver to have driven for Ferrari lasted for over six decades.
#1 Oliver Bearman – 18 years, 306 days old – Youngest ever F1 driver for Ferrari
Oliver Bearman broke a 62-year-old record when he made his F1 debut with Ferrari at the 2024 Saudi Arabian GP. The Briton stepped in for Carlos Sainz, who had suffered from appendicitis. Bearman was just 18 years old at the time and finished with a P7 finish.
“I think I put in a good showing for myself, which is the main thing, right?” said the youngster after his surprise debut. [via F1.com]
In 2025, he will be signed permanently by Haas F1. The teenager has already secured three points finishes this season. The Ferrari academy driver has a bright future in F1. He could well be returning in the red overalls of the F1 team later on in his career.
