Many people made fun of Red Bull when they originally arrived on the F1 grid back in 2010. But in just five years, they had produced a championship-winning car. Over the next decade and more, the Milton-Keynes outfit has established itself as one of the most successful F1 teams in the 21st century. During this period, many talented drivers have raced for the team. Let us rank the top 5 Red Bull drivers of all time.
List of the top 5 drivers to have driven for Red Bull in F1
16 drivers have driven for Red Bull in the last two decades. Here are the top 5:
#5 Sergio Perez
Perez’s time at Red Bull came to a sad end, but he had many successful moments in his four-year stint. Five of Checo’s six F1 wins came with the Austrian team. He also helped secure two constructors’ titles and finished runner-up in 2023.
His stint is remembered more fondly now, as his replacements at the team have struggled to even finish in the top 10 in 2025.
#4 Mark Webber
Webber spent seven seasons at Red Bull. He raced during the most dominant period in Red Bull’s history and was part of securing four constructors’ championships from 2010-2013.
The Aussie couldn’t quite beat Sebastian Vettel at his peak but was a feisty competitor to his teammate. Webber claimed all of his nine F1 wins at the Austrian team.
#3 Daniel Ricciardo
Daniel Ricciardo arrived at the team as a 24-year-old in 2014. While Red Bull weren’t the quickest team on the grid anymore, Ricciardo still beat reigning world champion and his teammate Sebastian Vettel that season, to finish third in the standings. He claimed seven race wins during his time in the team, driving in a period when Mercedes dominated almost every weekend.
The Aussie was highly rated but did not quite live up to the hype towards the end of his career.
#2 Sebastian Vettel – 4x world champion with Red Bull
Vettel became Red Bull’s first-ever F1 world champion driving in 2010. He is still also the youngest-ever F1 world champion. The German driver claimed four consecutive drivers’ titles from 2010-2014 with the Austrian team. During this period, he claimed 38 race wins. In 2013, he set the record for the most consecutive race wins in F1 at the time, with nine.
Vettel is one of the greatest drivers ever in F1 history, having broken numerous records during his peak. His exploits with the team were considered untouchable until another young sensation entered the ranks at Milton Keynes.
Vettel may yet return to Red Bull, taking over Helmut Marko’s role, according to multiple reports.
#1 Max Verstappen – 4x world champion with Red Bull
Verstappen is undoubtedly the greatest Red Bull F1 driver. Like Vettel, Verstappen also won four consecutive drivers’ championships from 2021-2024. Moreover, the Dutchman can still add to this number now.
The 27-year-old has claimed 68 race wins with the team already, which is the third most in history. Verstappen broke the aforementioned record of most consecutive race wins, claiming 10 consecutive victories in 2023. He also obliterated the record for most race wins in a season when he won 19 that same year.
